Meanwhile, deep in the heart of Spiderwood...

Here's one of the photographic creations of Gemma Burleigh Photography using my 5 hour scratch made spider crafted from newspaper, masking tape,PVA, two black bin liners and a heat gun.

I love the spookiness to the whole image and the undersold colours... and the spiders are looking fabulously chitinous in the processing.

Hush Baby Gruntling, Daddy's gone a-hunting, To fetch a crinkly spider skin to wrap our Baby Gruntling in...

Bit more experimenting on spiders this afternoon. Following on from a previous post a couple of weeks ago I got out the trusty heat gun and black plastic bin liners on the back step today and shrink wrapped the beginings of a suitably budget chitinous coating onto my newspaper creation. 

Kind of rough and ready, but built partly as a prop favour for Gemma Burleigh Photography and I think it'll probably come up a treat in any processed photographs later...

It's strange what can crawl out of the drawing board when you sit staring at it too late and long into the evening. The early newsprint and masking tape stages of some modelling strangeness for a friend's possible photo experiments. Layers of mache and PVA next...
